What To Expect from Treatments

What to expect from my treatments

Jing
The main point of the treatment is that it is for you and all about you. I therefore want you to feel comfortable at all times and feel able to discuss your needs, what you would like from the treatment and how you would like to feel when you leave, or anything else to give you peace of mind.

Initial Treatment Session & Covid Safety

The first treatment involves your consultation, which can last up to 45 minutes. Government guidelines for the Covid pandemic now require me to minimise client contact time and talking so this will now be taken online via video or phone. I can offer Zoom, Google Meets, Skype or WhatsApp. This is designed to gain a basic medical and lifestyle history in order to treat clients to the best of my abilities and with the greatest concern for their health, safety and care. Any information is naturally treated with complete client confidentiality.

I will be wearing full PPE – KN95 surgical grade mask, visor, and apron. I will also be washing my hands with medical scrubbing methods or can either wear gloves if your prefer. Clients will be required to wear a mask unless you have an exemption. Treatment times are now limited to 45 minutes. For Jing Method Advanced Clinical Massage Treatments there will also be an orthopaedic range of motion assessment of 10-15 minutes beforehand that will be socially distanced to 2 metres.

The premises are fogged/sprayed with XTRAPROTECT – a 3 Step sanitising, cleaning and fogging process. UK lab tested and accredited to kill and protect

against 99.99% bacteria and enveloped viruses, including Coronavirus, E-Coli, Norovirus and MRSA. All laundry is changed as usual between each client and washed at 60°. We also provide hand sanitiser, hand wash, paper towels and closed pedal bins.

Massage

You may choose to have a holistic massage with plain carrier oils or with Aromatherapy essential oils. As massage requires the oils to be in contact with the skin, both to facilitate the massage and gain the effects of the oils, you will need to remove some items of clothing. In line with Covid safety measures I will provide a box for you to use for this. If you would prefer not to use oils and have a massage through clothing this is also fine. I like to be flexible and whatever you need can usually be accommodated.

I will advise you of anything that is needed beforehand but if you have any questions please do free to ask. It is always my wish that you feel comfortable at all times, so you can have complete assurance that your modesty and comfort will be maintained throughout. You will then lie down for me to massage the oils into your skin. If you have come for Aromatherapy I will create a completely individual blend of the most appropriate essential oils for you to use within the treatment & to take home.

Aromatherapy

I am a Professional Aromatherapist – but what does this mean? Many therapists may offer ‘Aromatherapy Massage’ but this often means that they offer 2 or 3 pre-blended or bought blends for general functions such as ‘relaxing’, ‘energising’ or ‘calming’.

What makes me different is that I had 3 years training in Aromatherapy, essential oil science, molecular chemistry and full safety indications for using essential oils and blending with care. I have over 120 essential oils and create a bespoke tailor-made blend for each individual client each time– and best of all, allow you to take the blend home with you with advice on how to use it. I can also create additional blends to cater for any specific needs that you may have.

Why choose an IFPA Professional Aromatherapist?

Treatments

For your comfort it is usual to remove your jewellery during treatments; however, if you need to keep it on for religious or other reasons I am happy for you to do so

Aftercare

After the treatment aftercare advice will be given. If you have chosen the Gold package you will also receive an online Client Self Care session which can really enhance and improve your treatment. I am also happy to make up any home blends for treatment you may require for a small charge. These can be for self-massage, use in the bath, an inhaler, steam bath, burner or vaporizer. I can also provide them in a rollerball or aromastick for ease of carrying.

For certain conditions, treatments can be more effective when combined with other therapies. I am always happy to recommend other types of treatment & practitioners in order to serve your needs as effectively as possible
Advice from a qualified medical doctor is naturally always recommended
