Nature To Nurture – providing massage to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity

GOSHC Charity - - Nature To Nurture Aromatherapy and Massage in Hemel and St. Albans

It gives me great pleasure to announce that during National Charity Week a grand total of £8,530.77 was raised for GOSHCC!

Whitbread Court, Dunstable, Wednesday 29th October 2014

I am very happy to announce my latest charity event!

On Wednesday 29th October I will be part of a fantastic Health and Beauty charity event taking place at Whitbread HQ. Nature To Nurture will be offering Indian Head or arm & hand massage treatments in exchange for donations to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity (GOSHCC). This forms part of National Charity Week and is part of a wider campaign by Whitbread to provide a new building and facilities on the current hospital site by 2017. The charity week also sees other fun events such a Bake-Off themed day and Pumpkin-carving competition. Although this event is only open to Whitbread employees you can also donate to this truly life-changing cause – please see the link to the Just Giving page below. Donations are very quick and easy to make and yet can make such a difference to the children and their families.

Further details are on the Whitbread website, an except of which is below:

‘In 2012, Team Members from Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants (WHR) the length and breadth of the country overwhelmingly voted to select Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity as the company’s long term charity partner. In 2013 WHR cemented the partnership with a pledge to raise £7.5 million to help the hospital open a state-of-the art clinical building. The Premier Inn Clinical Building, due to open in 2017, will form the second part of the Mittal Children’s Medical Centre, and will see hospital’s vision to provide modern facilities for all acute inpatients, where a parent or carer can stay comfortably by their child’s bedside, become a reality. It will also enable the hospital to keep up with the growing demand for services and provide world class care for an anticipated 20 per cent more children.

Whitbread have now raised over £3.5m for GOSHCC, please click on the links below to read more about why GOSH needs to redevelop its existing site, and Whitbread’s campaign to open a new state-of-the-art clinical building that can treat more children and allow their families to stay with them in comfort.
