Holistic Relaxation Treatments

Holistic Relaxation Massage

I offer a full range of different treatments to promote peace, calm and well-being. These types of massage therapy can switch on the parasympathetic or ‘rest and digest’ nervous system, allowing you to relax and ‘switch off’ – especially good for times of stress or when the sympathetic or ‘fight and flight’ nervous system is overstimulated. Many clients describe their feelings after this kind of treatment as like a form of assisted meditation, and report feeling more rested and refreshed afterwards with better sleep that night. Aromatherapy

Real Aromatherapy is so much more than offering some pre-blended oils to have a treatment with. I studied extensively for three years to become a professional Aromatherapist, including learning full safety protocols and molecular chemistry in order to blend beautifully and safely. I blend with over 120 plant essential oils sourced from specialists who supply only to professional aromatherapists. Part of what makes me unique as a therapist is that all my treatments are available with bespoke, tailor-made blends designed for you and your specific personal needs – each and every time you come to see me. Plus you get to take home the remainder of your blend free of charge!

Swedish and Holistic Massage

I have a full range of massage skills that I can use to help soothe and relax. Holistic and Swedish body massage work wonderfully to naturally reduce anxiety and stress, switching on the Parasympathetic Nervous System – the ‘rest and digest’ system. As well as traditional Indian Head Massage and Champissage, I also offer courses of Facial Rejuvenation massage. This can be used clinically to release facial, scalp and neck strain, relieving tension headaches. It is also seen as an amazing beauty treatment, literally lifting, firming and smoothing the skin to minimise lines and wrinkles, but in a completely natural way.

Indian Head Massage and Champissage

Indian Head MassageI practise both the more traditional form of Indian Head Massage, known as Champissage. This is a vigorous massage of the shoulders, neck and head which can have revitalising, energising and stimulating effects.

However, I also offer the popular and more Western version of Indian Head Massage. Whilst based on Champissage this is a much slower and more calming treatment, and even though it is traditionally a seated massage I have had clients fall asleep during treatment.

Facial Rejuvenation and Natural Facelift Massage

Facial Rejuvenation massage is a highly popular and sought-after treatment, and can be used clinically to release facial, scalp and neck strain, and relieve tension headaches. It is also seen as an amazing beauty and holistic treatment, literally lifting, firming and smoothing the skin to minimise lines and wrinkles, but in a completely natural way. Many find it to be my most relaxing treatment so it also has benefits for reducing stress and promoting feelings of calm and natural well-being.

Pregnancy Massage and Antenatal Care

I am registered to offer full body and abdominal Pregnancy and Antenatal massage, and can usually adapt any of my techniques for pregnant clients. I offer a variety of methods – traditional side-lying, seated and prone with the KIH Pregnancy Pillow.
