Bespoke Blends For Individuals

I am a passionate believer in the power of natural products: their ability to work in harmony with the body and the environment allows them to protect us and our planet. Plants have evolved naturally over millennia, developing to work in our harmony with our bodies and, unlike many synthetic products, their molecules are small enough to sink into the skin for real benefits.

I trained to degree level at Neal’s Yard Remedies School of Natural Medicine in Aromatherapy and Essential Oil Science as well as taking individual product-making courses on Herbal Remedies and Recipes for Natural Beauty

How To Order

I believe that fresh is best and less is more, creating smaller quantities of freshly-blended products that are designed to be used by people to enjoy and assist in treatment rather than sit on a shelf

products

Bespoke Body Balm – a blend of carrier, enricher and essential oils set with shea butter and beeswax

Bespoke items are made to order once I receive from your completed basic products questionnaire and have contacted you about your requirements.

I do not sell products commercially but create each blend by hand for client’s treatment, either without fragrance for those with sensitive skin or with different essential oil blends tailor-made for you and your needs – whether that be for beauty, skincare or specific condition such as Eczema or Hayfever etc.

As everything I make is bespoke I do ask that you fill in a basic products questionnaire so that I can be aware of any contraindications due to conditions or medication.

Postage & Packing: is charged at £3.50 for second class, or £4.00 for first class. Local delivery to Leighton Buzzard or collection is free.

Eco-Friendly

I love the environment and want to look after my home, the beautiful and incredible Planet Earth. Fortunately my essential oils and the planet are aligned and both prefer the same thing. All my products are supplied in recyclable glass jars and bottles, or recyclable aluminium tins, with as little plastic as possible. My gift packaging is fully-biodegradable – tissue paper and organza or hemp gift bags with string or organza ribbon.

Luxury and Natural Ranges

Many of the products are distinguished between the Luxury and Natural ranges. In Aromatherapy some essential oils are very expensive – usually due to the low oil yield or processing requirements.
The Luxury range contains the highest priced essential oils:
Angelica Root, Roman Chamomile, German Chamomile, Helichyrsum/Immortelle, Jasmine, Manuka, Melissa, Neroli/Orange Blossom, Rose, Sandalwood, Yuzu

I have given prices for the common sizes that I make, but if you would like a different size please contact me for a quote.

Gift Bags

Hemp Gift Bag – wrapped in tissue paper with hand-written ingredients cards

Organza Gift Bag – made just for you – or for others

I love making completely bespoke, individual and handmade presents for you to gift to people – or even to yourself (why not? 🙂 )

Not just for Birthdays and Christmas, although they’re also great for those and make up many a request. I’ve also created gift sets for anniversaries; to send congratulations; special care parcels for friends; tailor-made gifts for family; to help with sleep or a specific problem, or just a treat for yourself. I also supply many gift bags to help support with conditions such as Arthritis, Asthma, Hayfever or Psoriasis, please contact me to discuss.

A huge gift basket!

Each gift bag or box is completely and utterly individual and we can discuss what would work best. During Covid Lockdown I even created a number of gift bags to help with Anxiety and Stress, and to Switch Off and Sleep

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I order?

Please contact me to place your order and to discuss your bespoke formulation. I will supply you with a Questionnaire and then make your order.

Why do I need to fill out a questionnaire?

I do not make products commercially and therefore for your health and safety and to abide by my professional insurance I need to know about any conditions, sensitivities, allergies or medications which may be contraindicated for certain aromatherapy products. Equally I may be able to recommend products particularly well suited for you. The questionnaire is a simple one page form and can be emailed to you or filled out by me over the telephone if you don’t have internet access

When will I receive my order?

Bespoke items are made to order after questionnaire completion. You will be contacted with regards to bespoke formulations.

How do I pay?

My company is just me 🙂 so I don’t take payment by card or over the internet. However, you can pay by PayPal, bank transfer, during covid cash is not preferred, but if this is local I can take it in an envelope, or cheque if no other method is possible.

Delivery Charges

You’re welcome to come and collect your order, or if in my local neighbourhood I am happy to drop your order off for you. Otherwise I can post to you. Small parcel rates is the usual size for most orders, although aroma inhalers, 15mls tins and rollerballs are sometimes small enough to go as large letter. I will advise if a delivery has to go as a large parcel.

Small Parcel Rates

  • £3.50 for second class postage and packing
  • £4 for first class postage and packing

Larger parcels will incur large parcel rates but I find that most are covered by the above.

Ingredients

I trained in Aromatherapy and Natural product making for 2 years with the Neal’s Yard Remedies Aromatherapy and Essential Oils Science Diploma. I only use pure and natural ingredients, no harsh chemicals or cheap fillers as can often be found in even the most expensive brands. All the products that I blend are fresh, and should keep well for a year if stored in the cool and dark, or up to 2 years if kept in the fridge. I do not usually use preservatives as I make smaller quantities more frequently – the fresh is best approach. However, if required I use Propolis, a natural resin collected from plants and botanical sources by bees. My ingredients where possible are organic and my essential oils of the highest quality from a supplier who only sells to professional aromatherapists.

Essential Oils

Lavender Essential Oil Dried - Banner - Nature To Nurture - Aromatherapy In Hemel & St AlbansI am happy to discuss these in order to choose the best type of blend for your individual needs – which may vary with time and circumstances. However, these are the oils particularly effective by skin type and need:

Rose is a natural emollient and is particularly good for moisturising dry skin

Dry skin
  • Rose: brilliant for moisture, softness & scar reduction – and smells amazing!
  • Frankincense: has been used for rejuvenation, an anti-ageing oil used for thousands of years
  • Myrrh: commonly used with Frankincense as it has many similar properties
  • Sandalwood: used for both its natural moisturising and preserving abilities

Other oils: Lavender, Jasmine, Neroli, Calendula, Cedarwood, Chamomile

Geranium is one of the most balancing of the essential oils, and this is also true in skincare, making it excellent for combination skin

Combination/Normal skin
  • Geranium: balancing, so good for combination skin – it gives moisture for dry areas & sebum balancing for more oily areas
  • Palmarosa: sebum balancing, removes impurities without stripping natural oils from the skin
  • Ylang-Ylang: sebum balancing

Other oils: Mandarin, Vetiver, Orange

Lemon is a natural astringent, making it a good choice for oily skin

Oily skin/Problem skin/Spots
  • Lemon: astringent & tonifying
  • Rosemary: astringent & tonifying
  • Palmarosa: sebum balancing, removes impurities without stripping natural oils from the skin
  • Tea Tree: antimicrobial, astringent & antiseptic

Other oils: Ylang-Ylang, Lime, Lemongrass, Mandarin, Orange, Vetiver, Palmarosa

Lavender is known as ‘the mother of all oils’ and is extremely well-tolerated by even sensitive skin

Sensitive skin
  • Chamomile
  • Lavender
  • both of these oils are extremely well tolerated by even the most sensitive of skin, and can also be used for babies

Other oils: Helichrysum, Neroli, Sandalwood, Rose

For scars and skin-healing Rosehip seed is my absolute go-to oil. It’s emollient skin-softening properties have to be felt to be believed

Scar Reduction – post operative/old scars/stretch marks
  • Rosehip Seed oil
  • Frankincense
  • Rose
  • Patchouli
